Value chain (economic) and supply chain (physical) life-cycle assessments essentially analyse the actions of others, consequential life-cycle assessments analyse the actions of the organisation or buyer themselves.
It doesn't make sense to take responsibility for the actions of others (by looking at economic and physical LCAs) and not to take responsibility for one's (organisation's) own actions (by looking at the consequential LCAs).
⇒ Consequential LCAs should come before economic and physical LCAs.
